Present Perfect

We use this tense when we want to talk about unfinished actions that started in the past and continue to the present. Usually we use it to say 'how long' an action or state has continued with 'since' and 'for'. Often, we use stative verbs in this situation: I've known Karen since 1994.

Each of you has received an "extreme sport" topic.  You will research and prepare an oral presentation to introduce this sport to the group.  You are to speak for 2-3 minutes.

Create an outline with key words to help you structure your presentation. (see image above).
1.  Begin with a topic
 2. Discover the focus and goal
 3. Ask a question that the speech will answer
 4. What are the main points that you would like to discuss

Include a visual (images, powerpoint presentation, poster,  etc.) to help engage your audience.
